Crushed Calabrian Chili peppers are grown on the Calabrian hillsides where the sunny Mediterranean climate, the sea breeze and the naturally rich soil give them a unique aroma. They are packed with Italian Extra Virgin Olive oil, sunflower seed oil, vinegar, salt and fresh basil. They are spicy, and fruity, a bit tangy, with a bright flavor
How spicy are they? They are ranked at 35.000 to 40.000 Scoville heat units. Jalapeños are ranked between 2.500 and 8.000, while the habanero is ranked between 100.000 to 350.000. So they will add a kick to your cooking, while not overpowering your dish.
